About the studio

McIntosh Music Studio is a private music teaching studio in Northcote run by Shannon McIntosh. Lessons are catered for individual students and are based on the principles and philosophy of the Suzuki and Dalcroze approaches.

We offer lessons for:

  • Suzuki violin

  • Viola

  • Piano 

  • Music theory

  • Chamber music (string quartets, trios, etc.)

  • Group music and movement classes

About your teacher

Shannon McIntosh has ten years of experience as an instrumental teacher in Australia and the UK. She has performed as a violinist in several chamber and orchestral projects including the concertmaster of Queensland Philharmonia. Shannon has also worked as a répétiteur for ballet, and engages in music and movement projects.
